Strengthening Research Capacity: Undip Food Technology Lecturers Participate in Patent Socialization

Semarang-tp.fpp.undip.ac.id – Lecturers from the Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Undip participated in the National and International Patent Socialization organized by the Directorate of Innovation and Cooperation of Undip (Dirinovki) on Thursday, March 12, 2026, which was conducted online via Zoom. The activity aimed to enhance the capacity and quality of lecturers in understanding and managing intellectual property protection for research outcomes.

The socialization featured Raden Muhammad Agung Triadi, S.T., Director of Patents, Layout Design of Integrated Circuits, and Industrial Design at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia, as the speaker. In his presentation, he explained various important aspects related to the patent application process, strategies for protecting innovations, and opportunities for utilizing both national and international patent systems to support research outputs from universities.

Through this activity, it is expected that Food Technology lecturers at FPP Undip will gain a better understanding of patent procedures and strategies so that their research outcomes not only contribute academically but also obtain legal protection and have the potential for further development. This improved understanding of patents is also expected to encourage more innovations from Food Technology lecturers that provide added value and contribute to the advancement of science and the food industry.
