tp.undip.ac.id – Central Java has known as the rich resources as national milk producer and most of area was located in the close area near by Undip. This consideration addressed Food Technology to stay in much closer to the activity in the milk industry. One of milk industries, PT Tronti Indonesia, was located in Klaten- Central Java. Since one of goals was creating collaboration and partnership with institutions at national levels, food enterprises to strengthen the research and teaching for student benefit, Food Technology Program conducted the program with industry and fully supported by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the PKKM program.
Food Technology Program was selected as awardee of PKKM (abbreviations of Competition Program for Merdeka Campus) as officially announced on July 5th, 2022 as stated in the official document No. 0544/E.E3/PM.00.03/2022. This program allows student to get connected to Industry and focus of goals was zero waste and clean production in milk industry. A number of 120 students was selected to conduct the internship program and this program also covers the installation of teaching industry in Food Technology. This program highly synchronized with the SDG’s goals 12 which is “Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns” since the activities mostly in the reducing the problem of waste and milk by-product. New system proposed by Food Technology Program will be applied in PT Tronti Indonesia to recycle, reduce, and reuse the waste and its milk by-product.
