Semarang-tp.fpp.undip.ac.id – The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP) at Diponegoro University (Undip) has officially partnered with Horison Inn Antawirya for bakery production. Dean of FPP Undip, Prof. Sugiharto, emphasized the importance of collaboration with the industry to provide students with real-world experience.
“Collaboration with the industry is very necessary nowadays, especially to give students industrial experience,” said Prof. Sugiharto. This partnership is expected to meet the daily demand for cakes and bread from the Horison Inn network. The Food Technology Study Program at FPP Undip will play a crucial role in fulfilling this demand.
The Food Technology Study Program at FPP Undip manages a food processing laboratory used by students to venture into the bakery, dairy products, and other food products industries. The head of the study program, Dr. Al-Baarri, expressed his readiness to collaborate with Horison Inn. “We are ready to cooperate with Horison Inn. Hopefully, with this partnership, food technology students, in particular, can learn more deeply alongside the industry,” said Dr. Al-Baarri.
Citra Volind, General Manager of Horison Inn Antawirya, also expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration. “This partnership program will be implemented soon in response to the increasing demands of the bakery industry,” said Citra Volind.
This partnership is expected to provide significant benefits for both parties, especially in developing skills and industrial experience for Food Technology students at FPP Undip and meeting the bakery product needs for Horison Inn and Undip.
