Semarang-tp.fpp.undip.ac.id – The Food Processing Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Diponegoro University (FPP UNDIP), received a visit from Horison Inn Antawirya Semarang (June 3). The visit was represented by Citra Volind as the General Manager of Horison Inn, Chef Andhika, and a machine technician.

The purpose of this visit was to inspect the laboratory facilities in order to establish an industrial collaboration between FPP UNDIP and Horison Inn Antawirya. In this collaboration, both parties are committed to developing high-quality processed food products and enhancing students’ competencies in the field of food technology.

The Head of the Food Technology Study Program, Dr. Al-Baarri, who is also in charge of this activity, expressed his commitment to supporting this collaboration program. “We are very excited about this collaboration opportunity because it can provide valuable practical experience for our students and simultaneously advance education in the Food Technology Study Program,” he said.

The visit was well received by the Dean of FPP UNDIP, Prof. Sugiharto, who also fully supports this collaboration. “Collaboration with industries like this is very important to improve the quality of education and the relevance of our study programs to industry needs. We hope this collaboration can run smoothly and provide significant benefits for both parties,” said Prof. Sugiharto.

During the visit, the Horison Inn team conducted a thorough inspection of the food processing laboratory facilities, including the equipment and technology used. They also discussed with laboratory staff the potential for developing new products and other opportunities that could be pursued together.

The collaboration between FPP UNDIP and Horison Inn Antawirya is expected to generate new innovations in the field of food technology and make a positive contribution to the food industry in Indonesia.
