Semarang-tp.fpp.undip.ac.id – The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) organized a statistical analysis discussion event (5/7) featuring Prof. Hisyam Lee, a statistics expert from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The event was attended by laboratory coordinators at FPP Undip, postgraduate students, and was officially opened by the Dean of FPP Undip, Prof. Sugiharto.
This discussion event was initiated by the Food Technology Study Program of FPP Undip and the Chemical Engineering Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, coordinated by Dr. Al-Baarri and Prof. Djaeni as part of a collaborative effort to enhance statistical analysis competencies among lecturers and researchers.
In his opening remarks, the Dean expressed appreciation for the presence of Prof. Hisyam Lee and his role as an adjunct professor at Undip. He emphasized the importance of understanding and applying statistical analysis in research and development in the fields of food science and agriculture. “This discussion is expected to enhance the competencies of laboratory coordinators in processing and analyzing data, thereby supporting research activities at FPP Undip,” said the Dean.
Prof. Hisyam Lee presented various statistical analysis techniques relevant to research in the fields of food science and agriculture. He also shared his experiences and best practices in applying statistical methods to produce accurate and reliable data.
The event also marked the farewell for Prof. Hisyam Lee, who has completed his tenure as an adjunct professor at Undip. During his tenure, Prof. Hisyam Lee made significant contributions to developing statistical analysis skills among lecturers and researchers at FPP Undip. “We are very grateful for the dedication and knowledge shared by Prof. Hisyam Lee. We hope this collaboration can continue in the future,” added Sugiharto.
The discussion was interactive, with various questions and discussions from participants eager to learn more about statistical analysis. The event concluded with a group photo session and the presentation of a souvenir to Prof. Hisyam Lee as a token of appreciation for his contributions to FPP Undip.
